Last night, Shandra and I had the privilege of having dinner with Kim V. and Cassie W. These two ladies are members of Fellowship Church but we wanted to personally get to know them a little better and food seems to make that happen a little easier. So, off to Chili's we went and on our part had a really good time. There was lots and lots of laughing and good talk plus great Chili's food.
They both work at the same place currently and live very close to each other. They have been very close friends for years and both heard about Fellowship Church through the mailer that we sent out on launch weekend. They talked about attending and kept the mailer on the hand. On week 3 they visited and have been here ever since.
They are our kind of people. They are so real and genuine. So precious. Shandra and I left that dinner praying that God would make himself know to them in a real way. A way that could change their lives even more than his gentle touch is doing now.
Lord, give us more Kim V's and Cassie W's. More people who are hungry to connect with you and looking for a church that will remove the hoops and ladders and get out of your way so you can change people's lives. Thank you for the wonderful responsibility you have give us to showcase your love to a confused and hurting world. You are awesome!!!!
